Board Of Directors

Michael Kyriacou

President

Michael Peters Kyriacou is general counsel for an investment group. He was admitted to a BA, LLB  (Syd), M.Com (UNSW) LLM (London), held research teaching appointments at Australian and overseas universities, author of numerous refereed articles,  chapters,  discussion / conference papers, author of a number of text books, publications, newspaper columns, submissions to Parliamentary Committees, has been media commentator, served as a non-executive director on several boards, deputy chair of a mutual bank,  served on the SEKA, Heritage and Cypriots for ANZACs Subcommittees.

Kyriaki (Koulla) Pavlou

Vice President

Koulla brings over 30 years of experience in accounting and operations management, with a strong background in the aviation industry. As Vice President of the Cyprus Club, she leverages her expertise in financial reconciliation, team coordination, and project management. Her previous roles at Qantas Airways involved managing flight crew operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Koulla holds bookkeeping certifications and has completed leadership and management courses.

Kyriakios Panayi

Secretary

Kyriakos Panayi is a seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience in the food retail industry. As the CEO of Panayi Retail Group, he has been instrumental in expanding Christopher’s Cake Shop from a single store to a successful chain of 10 locations across NSW. His expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and innovative thinking has driven the growth of his businesses. In addition to his professional achievements, Kyriakos position as secreatary brings his leadership and management skills to support the Club’s mission and initiatives.

Andrew Paschali

Assistant Secretary

Andrew Paschali brings over 25 years of extensive experience in the electrical industry, having worked on major infrastructure projects for both government and private sectors. His expertise spans electrical transmission, distribution, and large-scale projects such as water treatment, petro-chemical facilities, roads, tunnels, and airports. Andrew’s roles have involved design, consulting, project management, and coordination. In addition to his technical background, he has over 24 years of experience as the CEO of an events production company, showcasing his diverse skills in both engineering and event management

Con Costi

Assistant Treasurer

Con Costi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the seafood industry, specialising in retail, marketing, and project management. As the Managing Director and Founder of Costi Seafoods, Con has played a pivotal role in developing the De Costi Seafoods brand, significantly increasing its processing capacity and implementing advanced mechanisation processes. With a strong background in business development and store management, Con brings valuable expertise in operations and financial oversight to his role as Assistant Treasurer at the Cyprus Club.

Alex Veryinis

Director

Alex Veryinis is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience as a licensed builder. As a member of the Master Builders Association, he has successfully completed property development projects totaling over $100 million. With a strong background in building and construction management, Alex brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as a Director of the Cyprus Club, where he contributes to the Club’s strategic direction and development.
